Telecommunications Regulatory Authority is a leading organization in the Information and Communication Technologies sector in the UAE with innovations as a core component of its business operations. Naturally, TRA Headquarters building should be a representation of the organization’s business nature becoming a physical embodiment of its vision, values and work culture. Pursuing this goal Kling Consult in partnership with CUH2A created a signature design which was not only recognized by AIA, but also received gold LEED certificate.
Dubai TRA Headquarters building is remarkable for its commitment to sustainability and state-of-the-art technologies. Its skin is a combination of transparent and translucent energy efficient glass, which provides exceptional insulation from the harsh sun while admitting light where necessary. The building façade is ‘solar tuned’ to respond to its specific microclimate and orientation.
Photovoltaic panels on the upper roof capture solar energy for it to be used for secondary services. TRA Headquarters Dubai produces 28.8 KWH per day of solar power, which is utilized for façade lighting at night, and 12 m3 per week of recycled water.
Along with a wide range of environment friendly systems the building offers comfortable working spaces equipped with smart ventilation and lighting systems. From many points of view TRA Headquarters is a perfect model of architectural excellence combined with rationally embodied latest technologies for the benefit of modern society.
